Have been a big fan since the inception of Nhiär chocolates. Vegan and dairy free but not lacking in quality or flavor. Truly exceptional chocolates.
1 The first thing you need to understand as a chocolate fan who is keen on brands like vosages and other small batch luxury brands with an established reputation of excellence, is that Nhiar chocolate is not in the same category. The only way to describe the relative distance in taste, texture and chocolate quality is to get sacrilegious for a minute. If milk chocolate is Jesus and your favorite dark chocolate is the holy spirit, this chocolate is God the mother-father. It's the source from which other chocolates emenate to lure the masses, keeping the knowledge of the holy sanctum to themselves. You don't have communion when you bite into this chocolate, you see the world as God intended him/herself, and then there is no going back to the world you knew. You only tell people you know are true believers about this chocolate. After this "experience on the mount", your expectations are forever transcended beyond the commercial realm. You must now tell the people in your life who know your devotion to chocolate and seek occasionally to surprise you with little boxes and bars that they find at gift stores and coffee houses for Valentine's Day, your Birthday and Christmas to think twice before blaspheming the holy name of chocolate with any brand other than Nhiar. So sayeyh the Chocolate Lord. Amen 2 This is going to be pointless, but I'm going to try to explain my first experience with Nhair chocolate - a vegan, dairy free, sugar-free chocolate, which I am surprised is not classified on the list of schedule I substances. Biting into a Nhiar truffle is not the predictable gooey, creamy, warm and relaxing experience as expected from so many luxury brands. No, something else happens all together. Your mouth senses a change in temperature. There is something cold, and soft, with the faintest amount of resistance - like finely packed pixy dust. Whatever this is has not been processed. It has been presented. It has not lost its identity or natural integrity. It is what you have been looking for in every chocolate quest and adventure you have embarked on. This 'chocolate' does not melt in your mouth. Its essence instantly enters with your consciousness. Your mouth and nose were only witness to the initial truth that you just experienced. Your mind and body become aware of the presence of magic. Unexpectedly, you are metaphysically transported to the place where the wind rustled through leaves and the sky offered protection, entertainment and nourishment. The sunlight that made this chocolate was somehow preserved, and now you are elevated in your understanding of what chocolate was, is, and forever will be. You yourself are now chocolate. Melvin
